On its doorstep are the Santa Clara market, the National Pantheon and the River – and the Feira da Ladra flea market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This 18th-century palatial building was converted to a sumptuous hotel of only six rooms, with a large communal dining room and secluded garden. Recreating the ambience of old Lisbon mansion houses, the remodelling project focused on already existing elements and used local, authentic materials, such as Lioz limestone, traditional azulejo tiles and wood.
